Abstract

A communication pattern is a pattern of relationships between two or more people in sending and receiving messages in the right way so that the message can be understood. Discipline is a condition that is created and formed through the process of a series of behaviors that demonstrate the values of obedience, compliance, loyalty, regularity and order. Room Guardian The word room guardian is a word that is usually used to call an ustadzah or teacher who is in an Islamic boarding school dormitory, and makes it easier for parents when they want permission to visit or for family purposes. This implies that a teacher is required to be committed to professionalism in developing his task. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. From the results of the research, it was found that the communication pattern of the room teacher and students in forming the character of the students with the communication pattern of the room teacher-student or communication as action, the room teacher (ustazah) gave direction to the students to always have a positive character. The room teacher (ustazah) was the main source for educate students because the room teacher is the one who has the authority to educate his students and is more active than the room teacher (ustazah)-student-student or communication as a transaction, students are required to be more active than the room teacher, even like the room teacher, smart students will giving an example to his friends who can't yet, communication is used as a mutual learning activity between room teachers (ustazah), other students. The results of this research use Action Assembly Theory and data collected through interviews, documentation and observation. Keywords: Communication Patterns, Room Trustees and Students
