Abstract

The aim was to determine the effect interaction of growth media and Gandasil D on growth under acclimatization conditions of orchids (Dendrodbium phalaenopsis). This research used a factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the type of growing media which consists of 3 levels of treatment, namely Sphagnum moss, Kadaka Root and Cocopeat. The second factor is the concentration of Gandasil D fertilizer which consists of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 2, 4 and 6 g per liter so that 12 treatment combinations are obtained with 3 repetitions so there are 36 experimental units. The parameters observed were the increase in plant height, increase in the number of leaves per plant, leaf length, survival percentage, number of roots and longest root length. The data was analyzed statistically and continued with the 5% Honestly Significant Difference test. The results of the research showed that the interaction of growing media and gandasil D treatments had a significant effect on increasing plant height, increasing number of leaves per plant, leaf length, survival percentage, number of roots and longest root length. The best treatment was found in the cocopeat and Gandasil D growing media with a concentration of 6 g/l. The main effect of the growing media was significant on all observation parameters, with the best treatment found in the cocopeat growing media. The main effect of Gandasil D administration was significant on all observed parameters, with the best treatment at a Gandasil D concentration of 6 g/l.
