Abstract

This research was motivated by knowing was there any influence of parenting style on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at elementary school 20 Kandis Regency of Siak. This research was correlational quantitative. The subject in this research was students at elementary school 20 Kandis, and the object in this research was the influence of parenting style on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at elementary school 20 Kandis Regency of Siak. The population in this research involved 75 students and this number was less than 100 made the population became sample in 75 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. Based on data analysis, it was known that there was any influence of parenting style on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at elementary school 20 Kandis regency of Siak. It was known from simple linear regression with significant score 0.00 and 0.00 < 0.05. it could be concluded that the hypothesis with research score stated that there was any influence of parenting style on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at elementary school 20 Kandis regency of Siak. The influence score could be seen in summary table with R square score 0.583 or 58.3%. It showed that students’ learning achievement was influenced by parenting style in 58.3% with moderate criteria. It could be concluded from research finding that there was any influence of parenting style on students’ learning achievement in Islamic education subject at elementary school 20 Kandis regency of Siak.
