Abstract

The purpose in this research examined to know the effort was done by Islamic education teacher in overcoming students’ AL-Qur’an recitation difficulties at elementary school IT Sakinah Pandau Jaya village Kampar regency. This research was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection technique used interview and documentation method. The subject in this research was two Islamic education teachers at elementary school IT Sakinah Pandau Jaya. Meanwhile, the object in this research was how the effort of Islamic education teacher in overcoming students’ Al-Qur’an recitation difficulties at elementary school IT Sakinah Pandau Jaya. Then, data analysis technique by using data reduction, data display, and verification. This research finding found that there were some significant effort from Islamic education teachers in overcoming students’ Al-Qur’an recitation difficulties at elementary school IT Sakinah Pandau Jaya. It could be seen from the effort that was done by Islamic education teacher in overcoming students’ AL-Qur’an recitation difficulties such as the effort in understanding the difference students’ ability. Using learning method, understanding students’ character, using learning media, choosing appropriate time, adding learning time, reminding students, and doing approach to students. The obstacles in the effort was learning limitation time, students’ discipline, and social environment factors. The solution stated to optimize learning time, increasing students’ discipline, doing collaboration with students’ parents, arranging effective curriculum, giving special attention to difficulty students.
