Abstract
Research entitled "The Effect of Bagasse Bokashi Fertilizer and Various Types of Plant Growth Regulators (PGR) on the Growth and Production of Sweet Corn (Zea mays L.)". It has been carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Air Dingin Village, Pekanbaru. The research was conducted from October to January 2024. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of bagasse bokashi fertilizer and various types of PGR on the growth and production of sweet corn (Zea mays L.) The experimental design of this study was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the dose of bagasse bokashi consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely without bokashi; 1.12; 2.24 and 3.36 kg per plot and the second factor is various types of PGR consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely without PGR, Atonik PGR, Siapton PGR and Gibgro PGR so that there are 16 combination of treatments with 3 replications so that there were 48 experimental units. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with an honest significant difference test (HSD at 5% level). The results showed that the effect of the interaction of giving bagasse bokashi and various types of plant growth regulators (PGR) was significant on plant height, widest leaf area, longest cob length, and largest cob weight, but did not significantly affect the age of female flowers, number of seed rows and cob diameter. The best treatment was a combination of 2.24 kg/plot bagasse bokashi and Siapton PGR (B2Z2). The main effect of bagasse bokashi was significant on all observed parameters, the best treatment was at a dose of 3.36 kg/plot. The main effect of various types of PGR was significant on all observed parameters. The best treatment was on PGR Siapton (Z2) and PGR Gibgro (Z3). Keywords: Sweet corn, Bagasse bokashi and PGR
