Abstract
Teluk Belitung Village is located on the coast of Padang Island and is highly dependent on the existence of groundwater as a source of clean water used in daily life. However, shallow groundwater in residential areas that are relatively close to the sea has a brackish to salty taste, has an unpleasant odor and causes rust on cutlery. The purpose of this study were to determine the distribution and flow of shallow groundwater, map the quality of shallow groundwater, map the feasibility of shallow groundwater quality, determine the type and facies of shallow groundwater and map the level of seawater intrusion in the study area. The results of the measurement of physical-chemical parameters were compared with the Minister of Health Regulation No. 492 / MENKES / PER / IV / 2010 concerning drinking water quality standards. Based on the results of the study, the color of groundwater in the study area were clear (11%), cloudy (59%), yellow (6%), brownish yellow (6%), brown (6%) and reddish brown (6%). The taste of groundwater in the study area were tasteless (17%), brackish (66%) and salty (17%). TDS of groundwater in the research area ranges from 23.85 – 10,458 mg/L. DHL of groundwater ranges from 36.45 – 16,970 ?S/cm. pH of groundwater ranges from 6.86 – 7.45. Hardness of groundwater ranges from 15.8 – 1,410 mg/L. Na+ content of groundwater ranges from 3.77 – 1,861 mg/L. K+ content of groundwater ranges from 0.506 – 93.5 mg/L. Ca2+ content of groundwater ranges from 5.2 – 85.6 mg/L. Mg2+ content of groundwater ranges from 0.669 – 287 mg/L. Cl- content of groundwater ranges from 10 – 3,372 mg/L. CO3 2- content of groundwater 0 mg/L. The HCO3 - content of groundwater ranges from 0 to 817 mg/L. The SO4 2- content of groundwater ranges from 2.45 to 245 mg/L. According to Permenkes No. 492/ MENKES/ PER/IV/2010, from the results of physical and chemical parameter measurements, it can be seen that all groundwater samples do not meet the standard requirements so that the groundwater is categorized as unfit for consumption. The stiff diagram analysis obtained 3 types of groundwater in the research area, namely the Na-Cl type (88%), the Ca-Cl2 type (6%) and the Mg-Cl2 type (6%). The trilinear piper diagram analysis showed that there were 3 groups of groundwater facies in the research area, namely the Cl-+ SO4 2- - facies (29%), the Ca2+ (Mg2+) Cl- (SO4 2 ) facies (6%) and the Na+ (K+ ) Cl- (SO4 2- ) facies (65%). Analysis of the level of seawater intrusion shows that 2 stations (12%) have a small influence of salt water, 9 stations (53%) have a moderate influence of salt water, 3 stations (17%) have a fairly large influence of salt water, 2 stations (12%) have a large influence of salt water and 1 station (6%) has a very large influence of salt water.
