Abstract
Protection for investors in long-term investments in the palm oil plantation management sector is very important in Indonesia, especially since this sector plays a significant role in the national economy. The palm oil sector often faces challenges such as land disputes, land conflicts, overlapping, and even strict regulations. These problems create uncertainty that can reduce investor interest and pose risks to the sustainability of future investments. So this must be fixed immediately, in line with the birth of the Job Creation Law, which should be improved from upstream to downstream. So it is important to study, with the aim of finding the concept of legal protection for investors in long-term investments in the field of palm oil plantation management in Indonesia, as well as to find the Effectiveness of the Job Creation Law on Land Acquisition for Investors in Palm Oil Plantation Management in Indonesia. So this research was conducted with reference to normative research. Using normative research, the nature of the research is to use a lot of secondary data, analyze and interpret laws and regulations, legal doctrines, and court decisions to understand and explain applicable legal principles. The results found that Protection for investors in longterm investment in the field of oil palm plantation management in Indonesia before the Job Creation Law, was regulated through various regulations such as the Plantation Law, Government Regulation on Industrial Plantation Forests, and the Agrarian Law. However, the Regulations do not provide legal certainty, so the licensing process is often slow, much of the land overlaps with forest areas, making it a challenge for investors. Meanwhile, after the implementation of the Job Creation Law, the regulations were updated to simplify licensing and reduce the risk of continued ownership of land that intersects with forests, aiming to accelerate the investment process. In addition to providing legal certainty, the Job Creation Law also supports the implementation of sustainable certification such as the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) which aims to maintain a balance between environmental sustainability and investment.
