Abstract

Cases of theft by force are still very disturbing, while the efforts made by the police have not been fully successful in reducing these cases, because some of these thugs have a mutually beneficial relationship with law enforcement. The objectives of this study are what efforts were made by the Ogan Komering Ilir Police in tackling the crime of theft by violence committed by thugs and what obstacles were faced by the Ogan Komering Ilir Police in an effort to tackle the crime of theft by violence committed by thugs. The research method that the authors used in this study was a type of empirical sociological research method, namely the type of research conducted in a non-doctrinal or survey way where direct surveys were carried out in the field. The nature of this research is descriptive qualitative, then the data used uses primary and secondary data. In drawing conclusions the author uses the method of inductive thinking, namely a statement that is general in nature becomes a statement or blunt that is specific. Regarding the results of the research and discussion by the authors, Regularly or periodically.
