Abstract

Technological teaching style is a teaching style that prioritizes the use of technology as a teaching and learning medium, so that the material taught by the teacher is not monotonous. This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of technological teaching style in increasing students’ interest in learning Islamic Studies in grade X at Ikasari Pharmacy Vocational School of Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is correlational quantitative method. The subject of the study is the students in grade X at Ikasari Pharmacy Vocational School of Pekanbaru and the object of the study is the influence of technological teaching style in increasing students’ interest in learning Islamic Studies in grade X at SMK Farmasi Ikasari Pekanbaru. The population of the study consists of 213 students with a sample of 138 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the data analysis result, it is known that there is an influence of technological teaching style in increasing students’ interest in learning Islamic Studies in grade X at Ikasari Pharmacy Vocational School of Pekanbaru. It is known from the results of simple linear regression analysis with a significance value of 0.000, because 0.000 is less than 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of the technological teaching style of 0.001, or 0.1% is categorized as very low, because it is in the range 0.00 - 0.199 as contained in the correlation coefficient interpretation table, while the remaining 99.9% is influenced by other factors. Thus the alternative hypothesis is accepted, the level of the relationship between the influence of technological teaching styles in increasing students’ interest in learning Islamic Studies in grade X at Ikasari Pharmacy Vocational School of Pekanbaru is included in the very low category.
