Abstract

This research was motivated by the effort of Islamic education teacher in developing obligatory prayer discipline of students at senior high school 2 Tanah Putih. The teachers at senior high school 2 Tanah Putih should have effort in developing obligatory prayer discipline to create students who diligent to do prayer. Discipline was a condition that created through exercise process that was developed to be a series of behavior and that had faithful element, obedience, loyalty, orderliness, and all of that was done as a responsibility to get introspective. This research was very important because the purpose in this research examined to know the effort of Islamic education teacher at senior high school 2 Tanah Putih about obligatory prayer discipline. This study had contribution to add literature and knowledge about obligatory prayer discipline. The object in this research was obligatory prayer discipline. The mothod used qualitative with case study approach. The main informant in this research was Islamic education teacher, her name was Mrs. Yusriani, S.Pd.I and the supporting informant was Mrs. Nurhayati Wahyuni, S.Pd.I. Data collection technique used interview and documentation. The processing and data analysis used in this research was should be prepared such as transcript, field report, and researcher perpective.. Researcher should manage and provide data to be analyzed, read all data, code, list of topic arrangement and data description, developing topic, interpreting and choosing list topic. Research finding was gibing motivation, explaining prayer rules, and explaining requirement and prayer pillar, made mutaba’ah sheet, giving task in memorizing prayer read and its translation, muhasabah activity, interpreting the universe, and socialization activity.
