Abstract

Education was important element in realizing humanity, teacher was person in placing position and handling important role in education. Generally, in Indonesia, teacher that had professional certificate were not be able to give change in learning process and even did not have difference with the condition before getting professional certificate. In side of educational qualification, from 2.92 million teachers, it was only 51% had undergraduate or postgraduate level, meanwhile others were not had undergraduate level. In other hand, in certification requirement, it was only 2.06 million teacher or 70.5% teachers fulfill certification requirement. Others 86.167 teachers were not fulfill certification requirement. This research used qualitative research with concept analysis where series of study that related to library as data collection method or the research that was conducted in library where the object in this research usually got from library information such as book, science journal and scientific work. Based on discussion and research finding, it was concluded that khilafah concept as educator that was khilafa as educator would educate human, not learning. Human as Islamic leader would do educational activity (pedagogic) that would create good character people, meanwhile teaching was only instructional. The objectives of education was human character with transformation of value, meanwhile the objectives of teaching was human cognitive with transfer of knowledge. Researcher wanted to give advice that the book entitled the model of teachers’ professionalism development written by Syahraini Tambak was a very good reference for higher students to be a research reference to scientific work.
