Abstract

The background of the study is that the teachers have a significant role in growing the creativity and skills of students. It is vital for the teachers in the world of education, that they occupy a very strategic position in the school and community environment. The Islamic studies teachers as part of religious educators at school are required to guide students to understand religious teachings and apply them in everyday life. The aim of the study is to find out the roles of Islamic Studies teachers in improving the students? Mahdhah worship at SMPN 6 Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency. And the factors that influence the roles of Islamic Studies Teachers in Improving the Students? Mahdhah Worship at SMPN 6 Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency. This is a qualitative study. The data collection techniques of the study are: 1) interviews 2) observation and 3) documentation. While the data processing technique is carried out through three stages, namely 1) Data Reduction, 2) Data Presentation, and 3) Drawing Conclusions. The results of the study show that 1) The Roles of Islamic Studies Teachers in improving the Students? Mahdhah Worship at SMPN 6 Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency are: the teacher as Educators, the teachers as Guides, the teachers as Motivators, and the teachers as administrators (teaching managers), the teachers as facilitators, and the teachers as Evaluators. 2) The factors that influence the Roles of Islamic Studies Teachers in improving the students? Mahdhah Worship at SMPN 6 Siak Hulu, Kampar Regency are several inhibiting factors among the teachers of Islamic Studies in instilling akhlakul karimah to the students, namely internal factors and external factors.
