Abstract
The study aims to investigate whether there is an influence of parents’ education level on students’ learning outcomes in class VI at SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru. This is a quantitative correlational study. The subject of the study is the students in class VI at SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru and the object of the study is the level of parents’ education level on students’ learning outcomes in class VI at SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru. The population of the study consists of 79 students with a sample of 79 students. The data collection technique of the study is questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there is an influence of parents’ education level on the students’ learning outcomes in Class VI at SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru. The results of simple linear regression analysis show that the significance value is 0.000, because 0.000 is less than 0.05, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The magnitude of the influence from the summary table shows that the R-squared value is 0.992 or (99.2%). It means that the learning outcomes are influenced by the level of parents’ education level by 99.2% or included in the very high category. So, it can be concluded from the results of the study that there is an influence of parents’ education level on students’ learning outcomes in class VI at SDIP YLPI Pekanbaru.
