Abstract

In the Batak Toba wedding ceremony process, there are many forms of traditional traditions carried out both before the wedding and during the wedding, one of which is the tradition of giving Boras warden ni tondi, the Batak tribe believes that the cultural values ??that exist are divine values ??that are based on high morality, therefore Toba Batak people link and harmonize cultural values ??with moral values. Boras sipir ni tondi is interpreted by the local community as rice that brings a blessing. The research method in this research is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The results of this research show that the Boras sipir ni tradition Tondi contains deep moral values, such as life principles, behavior and morals. These values ??not only influence traditional marriage practices, but also play an important role in maintaining the cultural and social identity of the Batak people. The implication of this research is the importance of understanding and preserving traditional traditions as an integral part of high-value cultural heritage in an ever-changing modern context.
