Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of communication style of former paskibraka on the spirit of organization in SMA Negeri 3 Mandau. This research applies the SOR theory proposed by Houland in 1953, where Stimulus refers to communication style, Organism refers to active paskibra members of SMA Negeri 3 Mandau and Response describes the spirit of organization. In this study using quantitative research methods by applying saturated sampling techniques to 37 respondents, where this technique all members of the population are used as samples. In addition, this research also uses simple linear regression analysis with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires online through GoogleForm. The data obtained from the sample was then tested with product moment correlation and Cronbach's Alpha, the results of which showed that each question item in this study was considered valid and reliable. Because the results of the product moment correlation test are greater than the distribution value of the r table (> 0.325) and for Alpha Cronbach's, the reliability coefficient is greater than 0.6. The results showed that there was an influence of the communication style of former paskibraka on the spirit of organization significantly and positively with a significant test value, namely the f test with a significance value of 0.001 <0.05. Then the results of the coefficient of determination test found that the influence of the communication style of the former paskibraka on the spirit of organization at SMA Negeri 3 Mandau was 25.5% and while 74.5% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
