Abstract
his research was conducted to determine the implementation of the school literacy movement at SDN 007 Teratak Air Hitam and to determine students' interest in reading. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Selection of informants based on purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used semi-structured interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The data analysis method used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data analysis method used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The data validity test in this study used data triangulation techniques. The result of this research is that the elementary school at SDN 007 Teratak Air Hitam implements reading literacy into literacy that must be done at school. Because elementary schools are the most appropriate place to instill reading literacy to students. Students' interest in reading at SDN 007 is still fairly moderate. This is because there are some students who have experienced an increase in reading habits. but it is said that it is not yet maximal because not all students have experienced an increase in student reading. The purpose of implementing GLS is to familiarize students to love reading and train students' skills to utilize a variety of reading.
