Abstract
The work commitment of certified teachers is currently still in the sufficient category, caused by a sense of displeasure among certified teachers because their expectations have not been met and coupled with high work demands, it makes teachers' job satisfaction even lower and also results in decreased work commitment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between job satisfaction and work commitment of certified teachers in Kerinci Kanan District. The population in this study were certified teachers in Kerinci Kanan District totaling 176 certified teachers. The sampling method used Non Probability Sampling with a total sampling technique, data collection using a job satisfaction scale of 14 items adopted from Prasetyawati (2019) and a work commitment scale of 27 items adapted from Millah (2021). The analysis method used is Pearson Product Moment correlation analysis. The results of the statistical analysis obtained a correlation of 0.518 with a significance of 0.000. This shows that there is a positive relationship, meaning that the higher the job satisfaction, the higher the work commitment. The effective contribution of the job satisfaction variable to the work commitment variable is 0.268, or 26.8% of job satisfaction affects work commitment and the rest is influenced by other factors.
