Abstract
His study aims to determine whether there is an influence of Celebrity Worship on Consumptive Behavior among K-pop fans in Pekanbaru. The research examines the relationship between the level of Celebrity Worship and Consumptive Behavior, focusing on the purchase of idol-related products such as official merchandise, albums, concert tickets, and other related items. A quantitative approach was employed, using simple linear regression analysis to measure the influence of Celebrity Worship on Consumptive Behavior. The study involved a sample of 386 K-pop fans aged 15–25 years, who are members of BTS, NCT, and Seventeen fanbase communities in Pekanbaru. Data were collected using the Celebrity Worship Scale and the Consumptive Behavior Scale. The results revealed a significant positive influence of Celebrity Worship on Consumptive Behavior, with an R Square value of 0.159 and a significance level of p<0.000p < 0.000p<0.000. This indicates that Celebrity Worship contributes 15.9% to Consumptive Behavior, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors. The relationship is positive, meaning that the higher the level of Celebrity Worship, the higher the Consumptive Behavior exhibited by K-pop fans.
