Abstract

Coping stress is the methods we use to deal with and reduce the impact of stress. It includes various strategies and techniques that help us manage difficult feelingsand situations so that they do not overwhelm us. The goal of stress coping is to help us feel calmer and better able to face challenges. Through this activity, we can better manage our time between studying and work. The aim of this researchis to analyze stress coping among students who study while working. This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects of this research were 3 people who coped with stress while studying while working using purposive sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. The research results show that the source of stress they experience when studying while working is the difficulty in dividing their time between doing college assignments and working. As experienced by the three informants, they experienced stress because they were writing their thesis, which caused confusion for them in choosing which one to work on first, and also caused them to put their coursework second in importance. The coping strategies applied by the three informants tend to focus on emotionfocused coping, where they manage the emotions that arise from stress and strive to maintain a healthy emotional balance while also seeking direct solutions to the problems they face through planful problem solving.
