Abstract

Permissive parenting is an activity that gives children complete freedom, which causes children to have no direction or self-control from their parents, so they don't know what is right and wrong. This study aims to determine the influence of permissive parental care on premarital sexual behavior in Pekanbaru teenagers. The sampling technique used in this research was probability sampling technique, namely simple random sampling. The subjects in this research were 100 samples of teenagers aged 17 to 22 years. The data collection method uses an adaptation scale for parental permissive parenting and premarital sexual behavior. The data analysis method uses a simple linear regression test with a correlation coefficient (r) = 0,161 and a significant value of 0.000 (p<0.05). The results of the research show that there is a positive influence between the involvement of parents' permissive parenting and premarital sexual behavior in adolescents.
