Abstract
There are many supporting factors that have an relationship on students' interest in learning, one of which is the use of gadgets. This research aims to determine whether or not there is an relationship of the intensity of gadget use on students' interest in learning at Ylpi Pekanbaru Smp. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population of this study was Ylpi Middle School students, totaling 94 people. The data collection technique used a scale of learning interest and intensity of gadget use. Based on the results of the Spearmean's Rank Order analysis, the correlation coefficient (r) = 0.558 and a significant value of 0.000 (p<0.05) were obtained. This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between the intensity of gadget use and interest in learning. The higher the intensity of gadget use, the higher the student's interest in learning, conversely the lower the intensity of gadget use, the lower the student's interest in learning
