Abstract

Teluk Belitung Village, Merbau District, Meranti Regency, Riau Province, the purpose of this study is to ascertain the art of the Naga Sakti Barongsai Performance. Soedarsono's theory (2003:119), which argues that there are several supporting aspects in a dance performance, including movement, music, floor design, dynamics, dance properties, costumes, make-up, themes, lighting staging, and the audience, is the theory employed by the researcher. This study employs a qualitative approach to descriptive analysis as its technique. The present study included observation, interviewing, and documenting as data gathering methods. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Barongsai naga sakti ini dimainkan 2 or more, the dancer often performs maneuvers in the dragon style, which consists of moving their head and tail in a manner like to a dragon's. The movement of barongsai itself is a traditional Chinese cultural ornamentation found in Teluk Belitung Village, Merbau District, Meranti Regency, and Riau Province. To prevent the dancers' motions from becoming disorganized, the music in this sacred dragon barongsai performance serves as an accompaniment to the dance. To be able to see the musical instruments utilized in this sacred dragon barongsai, one must be able to see that music is there as a keeper of the tempo and rhythm of the dancers, and that all of the musical instruments used are percussion instruments..
