Abstract
This research aims to find out about Arts and Culture learning in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Tualang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The theory used in this writing is the theory of Oemar Hamalik. The approach used in this research uses descriptive methods with qualitative data. Arts and culture learning consists of three stages of activities including introduction, core activities, and closing activities. This data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation through arts and culture learning. The subjects of this research were an arts and culture teacher and class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Tualang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The results of this research are that SMA Negeri 1 Tualang has used the independent learning curriculum. Analysis of the development of learning objectives, flow of learning objectives and teaching modules in accordance with those determined by the Arts and Culture teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Tualang. The learning used is group discussion, practice and assignment methods. The material studied is about saman dance (Aceh) with a time allocation of 16 meetings x 2 hours of 45 minutes lessons. The results of student learning are that students are able to learn dance well in groups in class with the facilities and infrastructure for dance at school, and students can learn well which can be seen from student evaluations.
