Abstract
This study aims to analyze the livelihood of street children in the management of street children in the city of Pekanbaru, and aims to find out what are the inhibiting factors in the approach of livelihood street children in the management of street children in the city of Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that low family economic conditions, limited access to education, peer influence and lack of social support are the main factors that encourage children to live on the streets. In addition, this study also identifies various obstacles in the implementation of the livelihood street children approach, including the lack of ineffective rehabilitation and coaching programs. With a deeper understanding of the livelihood of street children and their inhibiting factors, it is hoped that more effective policies can be formulated to reduce the number of street children and improve their welfare in the city of Pekanbaru.
