Abstract
Elections are the will of the people or the wishes of the people through general elections to elect leaders, with a better and more open system in the electoral process. One of the problems in increasing participation is that there arestill people who are able to vote but are not registered on the permanent voter list. This research aims to determine the KPU's strategy for increasing community participation in Pekanbaru City forthe2024 Simultaneous Election sandto determine the factorsthat hinder the KPU's strategy for increasing Pekanbaru City community participation forthe 2024 Simultaneous Election.Thisresearch uses thetheory of public participation strategy. The method used in this research is a descriptive type with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use qualitative observation techniques, qualitative interviews, and qualitative documentation. Basedon the research that has been carried out, the result sobtained are thatthe Pekanbaru City KPU as the general election organizer carries out its role very professionally. This is proven by the activities carried out by the KPU which are involved in socialization in schools, socialization with existing community organizations, active on social media. in disseminating information related to elections and collaborating with print media and electronic media in Pekanbaru City. The factor that is an obstacle for the Pekanbaru City KPU is that the budget is not covered,this is there ason the Pekanbaru City KPU does not invite it self or create its own activities incarry in goutou treach.
