Abstract
According to Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2018 concerning Sub- districts, Article 10, the Sub-district Head's responsibilities include coordinating the upkeep of public service infrastructure and facilities, working in tandem with regional apparatus and/or relevant vertical agencies, implementing private sector participation in public service infrastructure and facility maintenance, and reporting to the regent or mayor on the progress of such maintenance in the Sub-district area. The sub- district head of government always looks for methods to enhance and increase the effectiveness of the sub-district government machinery in carrying out his responsibilities. Serving others is an action that a person or group of people performs in compliance with previously set protocols and methods to address their needs. Three methods are used to collect data: documentation, interviews, and observation. Every day, normal maintenance is performed on infrastructure and facilities used by the public services. In the meanwhile, there are still unmaintained service facilities and infrastructure due to a lack of scheduled periodic repair of public service infrastructure. Every year, planning for the upkeep of infrastructure and service facilities is completed and collated centrally. Cleaning personnel provide normal daily upkeep on infrastructure and facilities used by the government. In the meanwhile, outside specialists are brought in to repair damaged public utility infrastructure. Other associated personnel in the subdistrict oversee the upkeep of public service infrastructure.
