Abstract

The use of Wordwall media in students' vocabulary knowledge provides something new in student learning English. Wordwall media successfully improves pupils' vocabulary knowledge with its captivating style and exciting contents. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to ascertain whether Wordwall media may significantly enhance students' vocabulary at SDN 20 Pekanbaru. This research is quantitative with an experimental research design. The total population in this study is 86 students with a total sample of 26 students. The sample for this study is class IV A. The researcher administered a pre-test in the first meeting and the treatment was conducted over 4 meetings using the Wordwall media. The final meeting was the post-test implementation. In this study, data collection was obtained from the students' pre-test and post-test scores.. the analyzed the data by using Wilcoxon test. The results of the study after the calculation where the average student pre-test score was 65.38 and the average post-test score was 88.08, showed that there was a significant difference with an increase in the average score of 23.07 after being given treatment with a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, it is concluded that with the standard Sig. (2-tailed) .000 / 0.000 < 0.05 or 0.05 > 0.000. The researcher concluded that (Ho) was rejected and (Ha) was accepted, thus the researcher concluded that there was a significant effect of Wordwall media on vocabulary knowledge of fourth grade students of SDN 20 Pekanbaru.
