Abstract
The republic of Indonesia is a country.consisting of several island. Several province, districts/cities on each island, this study aims determine the development and obstacles in the hisctorical tourism object of the tomb of Datuk Panglima Minal by the department of tourism,culture, youth and sport of Bengkalis regency. There are problem in the development of the historical tourism object of the tomb of Datuk Panglima Minal including utilization of tourism promotion media has not been optimized(not optimizing the use of promotional media such as television, radio,advertising, brochure,exhibitions and the lates is using social media)the infrastructure as notbeen realized(infrastuchture for complex development such as toilets, ablution places to stop around the tomb of Datuk Panglima Minal).facilities and infrastruchture are not yet available(facilities such as entrancestickets,and land of parking area around the tomb of Panglima Minal).this study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. This method is intended to describe and illustrate phenomena that occur in the field,both natural and human engineering that pay more attention to characteristic, quality, and relationship with various activities. This data collection use field studies by means of interviews, observations, and documentation. This study uses the theory of cooper with the indicator values of tourist, attraction, supporting facilities, accessibility, public facilities and institutions. The results of the study of development of the historical tourit attraction of the tomb Datuk Panglima Minalby department of tourism,culture,youth and sport of Bengkalis regency went quite well. however, the government through the department of tourism, culture, youth and sport of Bengkalis regency continues to pay attention to this tourist attraction and must increase promotion in the development of the tourist attraction and there are still obstacles in developing the tomb of Datuk Panglima Minal tourist attraction.
