Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of leverage (debt to equity ratio), return on assets, and growth opportunities on hedging decisions in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2021 period by analyzing data using logistic regression. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique and the types and sources of data used secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange and obtained 45 mining companies for the 2019-2021 period as samples. The results of this study concluded that together the variables leverage (debt to equity ratio), return on assets and growth opportunities influence hedging decisions. While partially the leverage variable has no significant negative effect on hedging decisions, return on assets has a negative and significant effect on hedging decisions and growth opportunity has a positive and significant effect on hedging decisions.
