Abstract

The purpose of this research was carried out to determine the appropriateness of accounting by electrical dan electronic shops in Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City with the basic concepts of accounting. The data used in this study are primary data, namely data obtained directly through interviews and questionnaires, while also using secondary data in the form of respondents’ financial records. This research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be conculded that the application of accounting at electrical and electronic shops in Sukajadi District, Pekanbaru City has not applied the approriate basic accounting concepts, namely: the idea of business entity, the concept of matching, the concept of sustainability and the concept of a time period.
