Abstract
CCTV architecture consists of monitor, camera, storage and DVR (Digital Video Recording). CCTV works as a digital camera device to send signals to the monitor screen. The signal is a recording of ongoing activities or events. The video recordings will be stored in the storage media automatically as long as the storage media capacity is still available. Based on data from the National Police Criminal Investigation Center in 2023 in Indonesia there have been 394,001 cases of crime with various forms of crime. Most of the crimes that occur are closely related to CCTV evidence. Even some cases can be revealed because of CCTV. CCTV is also useful for preventing crime as well as digital evidence because CCTV can provide authentic evidence of an incident that has been recorded by CCTV to find out who the perpetrator of the crime is. But basically crimes recorded by CCTV are not easy to uncover because in the investigation process, an investigator can experience several problems in analyzing CCTV such as storage, objects captured are not always clear and the footage obtained is original or manipulated. Therefore, digital forensic science is needed in analyzing CCTV evidence, using static forensic methods based on ISO / IEC 27037: 2014. The investigation process can also be carried out with the help of digital forensic tools and multimedia tools to clarify objects and metadata information and hash value of CCTV recording files so that they can reveal facts and conclude an incident properly and can be used as digital evidence in court. The results of the investigation obtained are that the perpetrator stole 1 mouse and keyboard which was assisted by the laboratory assistant in accessing the room key. The characteristics of the perpetrator obtained, namely the perpetrator is male, thin in stature, has a standard height in general and has straight hair and a length of about 5 - 10 cm with a sideways hairstyle.
