Abstract

Android is a Linux based operating system that is open source. Because of its open source nature, the application on Android can be modified by someone. Crackers or modders are a term for people who take advantage of bugs or vulnerabilities in the application, making the operating system a target of irresponsible parties trying to infiltrate through various methods, including using malware, viruses and disguised malicious applications. This research will provide information about the vulnerabilities that exist in applications modified by someone. With this goal, testing was carried out on the modified application to check for existing vulnerabilities using the Vulnerability Assessment method. In the results obtained from this study, several malware and vulnerabilities were found in the Mod Application.
