Abstract

This research is about "Design of Internet of Things (IoT)-based Automatic Mouse Trap Using Ultrasonic Sensors" to develop a system that can detect and capture mice automatically, effectively and efficiently. This system uses ultrasonic sensors to detect the presence of mice and send signals to the NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller, which then activates the trapping mechanism. In addition, the trap has an IoT feature that allows real-time monitoring and control of the trap through the Telegram application. This IoT feature allows users to check if a trap has successfully caught a mouse and remotely control the traps directly via Telegram. Test results show that this automatic mouse trap is very successful in detecting and catching mice, and it responds quickly and accurately. The introduction of this system should reduce dependence on traditional mousetraps, which are often less effective and require constant attention. Therefore, this system is expected to be a practical and innovative solution to the problem of rat infestation, especially in households, industry and agriculture, to improve the comfort and cleanliness of the environment.
