Abstract
The Riau Province Public Works Office uses WLAN network technology as an internet access service for its employees, many users and no research has been conducted on WLAN network services causing problems to arise and network disruptions at the Riau Province Public Works Office. The purpose of this research is to obtain the parameter values of delay, packet loss, throughput and jitter that affect the performance of the WLAN network, to determine the assessment status of the WLAN network performance using TIPHON standardization to measure the performance of the existing WLAN network at the Riau Province Public Works Office and obtain quality standards for existing networks. The results of testing the WLAN network based on TIPHON standardization, the index value in the delay parameter is 11.8ms with the category “Very Good”, the packet loss parameter is 0.21% with the category “Very Good”, the throughput parameter is 951Kbps with the category “Very Good”, the jitter parameter is 11.8ms with the category “Good”.
