Abstract
Evaluation of the function of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in the administration of Terantang Manuk Village Government, Pangkalan Kuras District, Pelalawan Regency is very important to do because the Terantang Manuk BPD does not know directly the advantages and disadvantages of each work program from the Village Government so that it will have an impact on difficulties in controlling and evaluating regarding the implementation of Village Administration. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method using interview data collection techniques and literature study by reading books, documents, laws and other information media that have something to do with the problem under study, and observation, namely observing directly the object being studied. researched as well as interviews and interviews with informants such as Village Heads, Village BPD Chairpersons, Village Secretaries, Terantang Manuk Village BPD Members, Hamlet Heads, Village Community Empowerment Institutions and others. Based on the results of the research, it shows that the function of making regulations is more implemented and realized even though it is only a regional regulation which is in the category of ordinary annual regulations, namely regulations on RAPBdes and the like, in contrast to the function of accommodating community aspirations and supervising the performance of the Village Head which has not been maximized in its implementation because lack of understanding of BPD members of their duties and functions based on applicable regulations. There are still weaknesses in the supervision of village regulations carried out by BPD Terantang Manuk where the BPD members lack understanding of their functions. The factors that impede the implementation of the functions of the Terantang manuk Village Consultative Body are the Terantang manuk BPD which does not understand its main tasks and functions as one of the components in Village Government which has a function that is quite vital and important, so that the function of the BPD itself does not run well
