Abstract
Information technology in the field of education, one of which is Augmented Reality technology that can be used as a learning media for types of building foundations in Foundation Engineering courses. At this time usually the learning used is still text-based and static images in studying the types of building foundations. Technology such as Augmented Reality can be utilized as a learning medium because it can display 3D objects from building foundations using a camera. To build this augmented reality learning media application using markerless techniques, Unity game engine and using the ARCore SDK library. For application development using the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method. This application is useful as a learning media. Based on the tests that have been carried out, namely balckbox testing, light intensity testing, distance testing, and object tracking testing, it is concluded that 3D animation objects can appear in the distance range of 10-200 cm indoors and outdoors with light intensity above 10 lux with a time of 3-10 seconds. User testing was carried out by giving a questionnaire to 31 respondents consisting of 16 Civil Engineering Students of Riau Islamic University and 15 general public, the results of the Likert score index calculation obtained a value of 84.84%, so that this application can be implemented as a learning media for types of building foundations.
