Abstract

This research focuses on two critical issues faced by farmers: dependence on intermediaries for marketing and limited market access for their harvest. The objective is to develop an agricultural e-commerce application that enables direct sales by farmers, aiming to expand market reach through a mobile platform in Pekanbaru. Data for this research was obtained through two methods: literature review and direct observation of farmers. The observations provided accurate and significant data, which subsequently strengthened the research conclusions. The agricultural e-commerce system is designed with a focus on consumer time efficiency, with the hope of expanding the market for farmers and enhancing the distribution of local agricultural products. This system has the potential to positively impact the local economy in Pekanbaru. Additionally, the application is expected to improve the accessibility of local agricultural products for consumers and support increased income for farmers.
