Abstract
Currently, schools mostly use brochures and internet media such as Instagram, Facebook and websites for promotional purposes. Promotional materials only display written information and a few photos, all of which are twodimensional. This photo doesn't reveal much about the intricacies of the building. Augmented Reality technology makes it possible to add information in the form of photos of school buildings which can be presented digitally in three-dimensional form using a smartphone. One of the augmented reality methods that is currently being developed is the "Markerless Augmented Reality" method, with this method users no longer need to use a marker to display digital elements, with the tools provided. The purpose of this research is to design and create an Android-based Augmented Reality application for the An Namiroh Pekanbaru Middle SchoolSenior High School school building as a school promotional media. Tests show that 3D (three-dimensional) animation can appear well at a distance of 5 cm to 100 cm. The promotional application for An Namiroh Pekanbaru Middle School and High School can track outdoors or indoors as long as the light intensity is above 13 lux. Testing object tracking shows that ARCore SDK with the markerless method can be used in all areas of object tracking. The promotional application for An Namiroh Pekanbaru Middle School-Senior High School can help promote the school with a score of 81% and the respondent's conclusion is "Strongly Agree".
