Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines objects from the real world and virtual or virtual objects in real-time conditions. In the field of education, the interest in learning is decreasing due to the development of technology and entertainment that increasingly presents interesting and interactive things such as online games or 3D animation. Meanwhile, the learning media that is widely used at this time still uses books that contain writing and a few pictures. The use of two-dimensional (2D) images as a learning support so that students do not feel bored and are more imaginative when learning. This application was created with the aim of building learning media for colloidal properties and how to make them using augmented reality to carry out teaching and learning activities as well as to increase student learning motivation and students' understanding of material about the various properties of colloids and how to make them. The application is created using Blender 3D, Unity as a 3D display and by using the markerless method and using the ARCore SDK library. Based on the tests carried out, animations can be displayed indoors and outdoors and can track locations anywhere provided that the light intensity is at least 6 lux light intensity, and in distance testing, at a distance of at least 5cm 3D animations can appear. Based on user testing, a presentation of 86.72% was obtained so that the application can be implemented as a learning medium for colloidal properties and how to make it using augmented reality for students.
