Abstract

This study aims to determine the interest in learning science learning at SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. Data collection was carried out on June 27 2023 using a questionnaire containing 27 questions consisting of 4 indicators. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The sample in this study were 46 students. The sampling technique in this study used simple random sampling, which was carried out randomly without regard to stratum members in the population. Based on research on student interest in learning, the average value of all indicators of student interest in learning was 77.61% in the Good category. The percentage value of the feeling happy indicator was 83.82% in the good category, the student interest indicator was 72.97% in the good category, the student attention indicator was 81.83% in the good category, and the student involvement indicator was 71.84% in the good category. It can be said that the interest in studying at SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru is still relatively good.
