Abstract
Education is the learning of knowledge, skills, and habits of a group of people passed from one generation to the next through teaching, training, or research. With the development of information technology, educational institutions began to innovate learning activities. In the field of education, the decreasing interest in learning students due to technology that often experiences special developments in the field of entertainment and communication science that presents interesting and interactive things such as online games, or 3D animation (3D) and social media. The development of technology at this time has grown rapidly, one of which is the existence of Augmented Reality that can be used as a learning medium. This application aims to build a learning media application regarding the type of lever with augmented reality to increase the interest of students in teaching and learning activities. Applications are made with unity using 3D displays with markeless techniques and using the ARCore SDk library. Based on tests collected at a distance of 5cm to 200 cm, 3D animation can appear, and animation can be displayed outdoors or indoors and can do location tracking anywhere with the condition that it has sufficient light intensity above 6 lux light intensity. As well as the results of user testing get a score of 83.71% with that the application of learning about the type of lever using augmented reality that is made can help students to learn the type of lever in 3D animation.
