Abstract

This study discusses the development of mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash 8 application on rectangular and triangle material in JHS. The purpose of this study was to produce a product in the form of application-based learning media assisted by Macromedia Flash 8 on rectangular and triangular material for class VII JHS which would be tested for validity and practicality. This research refers to the ADDIE development model which is modified according to the needs of the research process into four stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, and Implementation. The data collection instruments used were in the form of learning media validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The data collection technique used was data validation by 3 validators consisting of 2 Mathematics Education Lecturers at the Riau Islamic University FKIP and 1 Mathematics Teacher at SMP N 11 Mandau. The data analysis technique used is the validity analysis of learning media and practicality analysis through questionnaires on student responses to learning media. The results of research and development are stated to be very valid with a result of 89.44% and very practical with a result of 51.53. This states that mathematics learning media using the Macromedia Flash 8 application on rectangular and triangular material is good and appropriate to be used as a mathematics learning media
