Abstract
In today's digital age, the use of smart devices such as mobile and personal computers has become a major necessity. However, the increased use of these devices also increases data security risks. This research aims to assess vulnerabilities in Windows and Android operating systems that are exploited by cybercriminals using the Metasploit tool. The methods used in this research include exploration and utilization of operating system weaknesses through exploitation and backdoor installation techniques. The results show that Windows and Android operating systems have vulnerabilities that can be exploited by perpetrators to gain illegal access to victims' devices. The analysis was conducted by identifying and comparing exploitation techniques on both operating systems as well as their impact on the targeted devices. This research also provides recommendations to users and operating system developers to improve security and vigilance against cyber attacks. This research is expected to contribute to the understanding of anti-forensic techniques and strategies used to disrupt digital investigation efforts, as well as raise awareness of the importance of data security in the use of smart devices.
