Abstract

Mathematical communication skills are needed during the learning process to be able to solve a problem logically, analytically, systematically, and critically so that students can achieve learning objectives. Researchers conducted this study to determine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Type Cooperative Learning Model on Improving Students' Mathematical Communication Skills on Quadrilateral Subjects in Class VII at UPT Junior High School Negeri 4 Siak Hulu. This research method is true experimental and the research design is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population of this study is all students in grades ???1????14 at UPT Junior High School Negeri 4 Siak Hulu for the 2022/2023 academic year. The experimental class is a ???3 class with 35 learners and the control class is a ???4 class with 35 learners. Based on the calculation of posttest data analysis of the experimental class and control class, it was obtained that ???????=7,89>??????=1,668 so that ?0 was rejected and ?1 accepted. It was concluded that there was an influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model on improving students' mathematical communication skills on quadrangular subjects in Class VII at UPT Junior High School Negeri 4 Siak Hulu.
