Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the Quality Control of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) at PT. Kresna Duta Agroindo at Bangko Jambi. Data analysis using Statistical Process Control (SPC) such as control p-charts, control u-charts, pareto diagrams and cause and effect diagrams. Analysis of raw materials using the control p-chart shows that quality control has not been effective. Based on the pareto diagram analysis, the most dominant damage occurs in the number of overripe fruit, based on the cause and effect diagram analysis the condition occurs due to many factors such as methods, humans, plant age and cultivation techniques. Analysis of the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production process using the control u-chart, shows that the quality of Free Fatty Acid (FFA) and Drity/Dirt in Oil (DIRT) are still within control limits, while Moisture/Water Content In Oil (MOIST) there is 1 point at the control limit. Based on the Pareto diagram analysis, the most dominant damage occurs due to the high level of Free Fatty Acid (FFA), based on the causal diagram analysis, this condition comes from many factors such as humans, the environment, raw materials and machinery. Analysis of the final product on Crude Palm Oil (CPO) storage tanks using the control u-chart shows that the quality of Free Fatty Acid (FFA) and Drity/Dirt in Oil (DIRT) are still within control limits, while Moisture/ Moist in Oil (MOIST) is 1 point at the control limit. Based on the Pareto diagram analysis, the damage is dominated by the high Free Fatty Acid (FFA). Based on the analysis of the causal diagram, this condition comes from various factors such as raw materials, environment, machines and methods.
