Abstract

Research with the title application of biochar and biofertilizer Petrobio to increase the growth and production of green onions (Allium fistulosum L). The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of biochar and Petrobio biofertilizer on the growth and production of leek plants. This research was carried out in the Riau Islamic University Agrotourism garden, located in Kaharuddin Nasution street Km 11, Air Dingin Sub-District, District of Bukit Raya, Pekanbaru City. This research was carried out for three months from October to December 2022.This study was a factorial experiment in a completely randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor was the dosage of biochar which consisted of 4 levels namely 0, 0.5, 1 and 1.5 kg per plot and the second factor was the dose of Petrobio biofertilizer which consisted of 4 levels namely 0, 6, 12 and 24 g per plot. Parameters observed were relative growth rate, plant height, harvesting age, length of the longest leaf blade, number of leaves per clump, number of tillers per clump, economic fresh weight of plants, root volume, girth of the largest tiller and dry weight of plant biomass. The data were analyzed statistically and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction between biochar and biofertilizer Petrobio had a significant effect on plant height, harvesting age, length of the longest leaf blade, number of leaves per clump, number of tillers per clump, fresh economic plant weight, root volume, girth of the largest tiller and dry weight. plant biomass. The best treatment was the combination of 1.5 kg/plot biochar and 24 g/plot Petrobio biofertilizer. The main effect of real biochar on all parameters observed for the best treatment was the dose of 1.5 kg/plot, the main effect of biological fertilizer Petrobio for all parameters observed for the best treatment was the dose of 24 g/plot.
