Abstract

THE INFLUENCE OF STUDENTS' ACTIVENESS IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ON STUDENTS' SELF-CONFIDENCE AT SMA NEGERI 1 KAMPAR UTARA AINUL MARDIAH 186810584 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of student activeness in extracurricular activities on student self-confidence at SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Utara. This research is descriptive quantitative. The population of this study were students of class X and XI SMA Negeri 1 Kampar Utara, totaling 173 students. By using the slovin formula, a sample of 64 students was obtained which was taken by probability sampling. Test the validity of the instrument using SPSS 25 with product moment correlation and reliability also using SPSS 25 with Cronbach's Alpha. Data were obtained through temporary questionnaires for data analysis using normality test analysis, linearity test, simple linear regression test, t test and coefficient of determination (R²) test with the help of the SPSS for Windows version 25.0 program. From the results of the study it was found that: the results of the t test showed the variable of student activity (X) the t count was 4.824> the t table was 1.998 with a significance level of 0.000> 0.05. So it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected so that there is an influence of student activity in extracurricular activities (X) on student self-confidence (Y) of 27.3%, while 72.7% is influenced by other variables not examined.
