Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the signifanceof the impact of the use of animated video in the speaking ability of tenth grade students’ at SMAN 1 Sungai Lala. The advantage of using video animation in learning is that students can study independently with flexible time, and not only that students can also play back videos to learn again. This research was experimental research are two classes, which the sample in this research are tenth grades students of SMAN 1 Sungai Lala. The objective of this research was to know the effect of using animation video toward students’ speaking skill for the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Sungai Lala. The researcher found the significance of changes in student speaking in the use of video animation on five components: vocabulary, grammar, fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension. The effectiveness of animation video can be seen in improving of students' speaking ability by comparing pre-test and post-test based on t-test analysis by SPSS. The resulting present that the signification value of >0,05 which is 0,000<0,05, there is a significant difference between the control class and experimental class so that (H0) is rejected and (Ha) is accepted " By using animation video, it will affect students speaking skill tenth grades of SMAN 1 Sungai Lala"
