Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the types of code mixing, level of code mixing and factors of code mixing used by Najwa Shihab in her youtube channel. In this research, the researcher used qualitative approach and the study was designed as a descriptive method. The researcher used data from video of Youtube Najwa Shihab. Types of code mixing used by Najwa Shihab in her youtube channel is Intra-sentential mixing, Intra-lexical code mixing and Involving a change of pronunciation. Level of code mixing used by Najwa Shihab in her youtube channel is word level, phrase level, clause level and baster level. Factors of code mixing used in Najwa Shihab youtube channel is Participan Roles and Relationship, Situational Reasons, Message-Intrinsic, Language Attitudes, Dominance, and Security.
