Abstract
Based on the table above, it shows that the majority of children in the Class II Pekanbaru Special Development Institution for Children (LPKA) are 39 children who are not in school, 41 children who have had an elementary school education, 31 children who have had a final education in junior high school and 31 children who have had a final education. 2 people from high school. Based on the things that the author has described in the background of the problem, the author is interested in conducting research with the title Implementation of Development for Child Prisoners at the Class II Special Development Institution for Children in Pekanbaru. From the description above, the author formulates the main problem that will be discussed and developed further in this research, namely as follows: How the Development of Child Prisoners is Implemented at the Class II Special Development Institution for Children in Pekanbaru and what are the obstacles during the Implementation of Child Prisoner Development at the Class II Special Development Institution for Children Pekanbaru. This type of research is included in the research category Observational Research or research that uses a survey system, namely by means of interviews and direct observations in the field. The nature of the research is included in the Descriptive Analytical category, aimed at providing a comprehensive description of the object being studied using the data or samples collected. The author obtained valid and accurate information as supporting data in conducting this research at the Pekanbaru Class II Special Children's Development Institute, located at Jalan Perpublikan, Rumbai Bukit, Rumbai, Pekanbaru City, Riau 28264. From the results of the author's interview with Mr. Asdeko Putra S.E as Head of the Education and Community Guidance Sub-Section (Bimkesmas) at the Class II Special Development Institution for Children in Pekanbaru, one ofthe implementations of the Development of Child Prisoners at the Class II Special Development Institution for Children in Pekanbaru is spiritual development and personality development. Spiritual formation focuses more on religious activities, physical education and non-formal education. Meanwhile, personality development further develops skills in the child. Meanwhile, spirituality is more about religious activities, physical education and non-formal education.
